Duane Kaschak Inc. is a boutique interior design firm specializing in high-end residential projects. Although established circa 1996, Duane Kaschak has over thirty years experience working in the industry with renowned decorators Keith Irvine, Tom Fleming and the late Robert K. Lewis. Duane’s dynamic designs provide his high level clientele with the personal attention, confidentiality, and individually designed spaces that lead to designer client relationships that last a lifetime.

Projects vary in size from a single bedroom, to multiple dwelling estates. Locations span from Palm Beach to Boston, and Big Sur to East Hampton. Duane Kaschak’s work appears in landmarks by architects Stamford White and contemporary buildings by Robert A. M. Stern and Mickey Muennig.

Standard industry rates apply. Commission for upholstery, window treatment labor, and material is one third. Design input or supervision with painting or paper hanging is one fifth the contractor’s fee. If a client hires their own contracted labor, and unless supervision or design input (color selection, product placement, etc.) is not requested, the commission is waived.

When shopping retail, the client pays retail. The commission is made from the shop’s discount to the trade. In the absence of a shop trade discount, the commission is twenty percent. Drafting service for floor plans and furniture placement, art installation and the like, are billed by the hour. There is no consultation fee.
